Pulp molding is a three-dimensional papermaking technology. It uses waste paper as a raw material and uses a special mold to shape a certain shape of paper products on a molding machine. It has four major advantages: The raw material is waste paper, including board paper, waste paper box paper, waste white edge paper, etc., with a wide range of raw material sources; pulping, adsorption molding, drying, and shaping are completed in the production process, and environmental protection; Reuse; smaller than foam, can be overlapped and easy to transport. Pulp molding, in addition to making food boxes and tableware, can also be used as industrial buffer packaging, which has developed very rapidly.

Features of pulp molding

1.Egg boxes, fruit boxes, flower pots, cutlery products and disposable medical bedpans, etc., use waste paper as a raw material, add some moisture-proofing agent aluminum sulfate or waterproofing agent, and then create various specifications and complex shapes through the mold In this way, it can adapt to the appearance of various products, facilitate isolation and positioning, and prevent collisions.

2.The paper is light and soft, and the overall structure has suitable strength and stiffness, which makes it have good protection and cushioning properties.

3.It has ideal ventilation and moisture absorption, which is good for food preservation. As long as an appropriate amount of water-repellent agent is added to the slurry, the paper-molded product can obtain good water resistance. For example, the egg tray and fruit tray can be free from water traces within 24 hours after being filled with water not higher than 35 ° C. However, the general inner packaging of industrial products does not need to have this performance, because waterproofing should be a requirement for storage, transportation, and outer packaging. If necessary, pulp molded products can also be made to have flame retardant and antistatic properties.

4.The raw materials are extensive and the waste can be used, and the social benefits are obvious.

5.Paper mold products can be stacked for easy transportation, storage and recycling, which is beneficial to reducing transportation costs.

The pulping technology and equipment are developing rapidly. The basic process of pulping is the four processes of pulping, mold making, drying and forming. At present, domestic is mainly semi-automatic equipment, and abroad is almost fully automatic high-energy production line.

Model products

Pulp molded products are new packaging materials that have developed rapidly in recent years, and are excellent substitutes for wood. Pulp molding products use: raw material grouting, batching, molding, drying, and shaping processes. After the molding, a large amount of moisture (about 55-60%) remains on the workpiece, and the moisture content of the final product is 12-14%, so during the drying process of the workpiece, about half of the weight of the workpiece must be removed . Due to the phase change in the drying process, the energy consumption is very large, and the pulp molded products are processed into high energy consumption products. For this reason, it is necessary to perform a thermal analysis on the energy conversion process of the drying. Because, through analysis, the design and processing of the drying equipment can be improved to improve the energy efficiency.

Application area

Pulp molded products are solid containers used to contain and limit packaged materials, and serve the circulation, storage, and transportation of commodities, that is, they are mainly used in the packaging of commodities.
