(1) The raw materials of pulp molding packaging products are waste paper and various fibrous materials, which are widely sourced and easy to collect, and will not cause obstacles to the environment and recycling, which is conducive to product export. And foamed plastics are derived from petroleum products, and resource depletion and price problems will become more and more serious.

(1) The weakness of the production process of pulp molded products. The production quality of pulp molded products is easily affected by various production factors, such as: raw materials, molds, drying humidity, etc.
(2) The raw materials are still relatively simple, and it is urgent to develop new sources of raw materials.
(3) The production equipment of pulp molding products is not advanced enough and the degree of automation is not enough. The advanced equipment of pulp molding is relatively backward compared with the production equipment of foamed plastics. For example, for the automatic molding machine of pulp molding, its production efficiency and the stability of the equipment are not comparable to that of foamed plastics production equipment. The degree of automation of the connection between the various process equipment on the entire production line is low.
(4) The cost-performance ratio of pulp molded products is high. Compared with foamed plastic products, the cost of paper molding products remains high, mainly because of: high cost of raw materials, high cost of chemical additives, and low degree of automation.
(5) The structural strength and cushioning performance of pulp molded products are poor.
